Notes: Students may work together after reviewing the vocabulary as long as they are on task, seated and respectful. You may stamp the work of students who are remain on task and cooperative : )

Learning Objectives:

  • Students will be able to...

  • understand vocabulary.
  • define character trait adjectives.

You Will Need:

    • Pen, Paper, Romeo and Juliet Blue Viewing Questions.

Homework:

  • Due Tuesday 5/29: Adjectives and Nouns Definitions AND Blue Viewing Questions
  • Due Tuesday 5/29: Romeo and Juliet Word Searches

‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍Homework Due Today:

  • Due Fri 5/25: Ch 13 Vocabulary Final Check
    • Alaa Othman will stamp students' vocabulary homework.

Agenda:

Update planners with Agenda and HW

  1. Binder Check
    • Have Alaa stamp the homework while students get their binders ready.
    • Teacher will hand out Binder Check forms as students come in.
    • Students may take the first 10 minutes of class to organize their binders, then place them on the back table for the college tutors to score.
      • Note: tutors may not arrive right at the beginning of class, but will be here eventually to grade the binders.
  2. Adjectives and Nouns Worksheet and Romeo and Juliet Blue Viewing Questions
    • Teacher will hand out the Adjective/Noun sheet, but students already have the Blue Viewing Questions.
    • Students may work together to complete the synonyms and/or definitions for each word and the Blue packets.
    • Students may use their phones/I pods to look up words. There are also dictionaries on the brown bookshelf next to the television.
    • Hand out Romeo and Juliet Word Searches as students finish.
  3. Ch 13 Vocabulary- at 10:55
    • Teacher will display the "Final Check" on the projector. Read the paragraph aloud, calling on student volunteers as you go to fill in the correct answers.
  4. Announcements- Last 5 or 6 minutes of class, turn on television for announcements
